Nice to meet you —

I'm Geng Hao, and I'm just another human being trying my best to nurture my curiosity about the world while I'm here. I enjoy learning about other cultures and people through films, songs, books and languages. Music and being in nature make me feel good about being alive.

Currently, I'm working at GovTech Singapore. I'm a product designer who has worked on projects in areas such as community building, education, e-commerce and personal finance.

Inspired by the boundless potential for self-expression on the internet, I taught myself graphic and web design over a decade ago as a personal creative outlet. I chose to pursue a career in product design because it enabled me to apply bits of what I'd learned back then to create thoughtful solutions to meaningful problems, while maintaining the sense of wonder that originally drew me to the web :-)

From experience, I very much enjoy collaborating with people from different backgrounds to craft digital experiences based on a keen understanding of the problem space – complete with all its opportunities and constraints.

Right now, I'm focused on honing my craft – designing and executing visual and interaction details to a high standard, and learning how to build design systems that enable designers to create great user interfaces.

I was born, raised and am currently based in sunny and ever-so-humid Singapore.
